Dicky hips

Hello Campers!

Well thats that then.  I am 38.

Woo Woo.

Don't feel any different except for a dwindling hang over and a vague air of depression.

Have actually taken a couple of days off from the studio despite the immense pressure of my forthcoming exhibition at the Bluecoat Display Centre.  I needed to get out.  It did me good. Everywhere looks amazing at the mo and it was great to get rosey cheeks.  Have been walking in the snow all day and my dicky hip has kicked in.
Yes - another embroidery related injury.

Whats on -
I have work on display at THE ARC GALLERY in Chester at the moment.
Have sold three big embroidered vunderbars in India which is wonderful and am planning on a trip to New York to try and get representation there.  Have possibly had some interest me thinks fingers crossed.

Have been commissioned by Liberty to do a large embroidered piece based on a 1960's porn poster for their March display in association with the V&A.  Never thought I would be visiting Liberty to discuss porn but life is full of surprises.

Have a very quiet flat at the mo, living on my own and am in the process of trying to decide when to move up north, if I need to stay in Bristol and what to do with my life generally.   My work is the only thing that keeps me sane and I am struggling with the idea of moving up North because it is a hugely life changing thing to do.  A nice decision to make but a big fat one.

Bristol is so easy!  The water, the parks, the harbour, the pubs, the arty farty scene in Stokes Croft, the hippies, the coast nearby, the houses, the hills, the walking, the convenience.  I never have to use a car except for visiting friends and family up North, I walk everywhere.  I recognise people and everybody is somehow related.

Aghhhh well.  Universe help me out on this one eh chuck?

DONT FORGET MY EXHIBITION AT THE BLUECOAT!!!!!!!

  1. Belated Birthday Greetings Louise, hope you had a good time. Just wanted to say I gave three of the greetings cards you sent to me as New Year cards to my knitting/sewing friends here and they loved them.

    Best wishes Judy
