The Big Build up?

I am in the process of rounding pieces up for my show in 4 weeks.... Here is a sneak preview of some of the new embroideries I have been working on.... a tu ron ron.....

I endeavour to push my creative va voom va for the next 4 weeks.
Timing of photography and framing are always tricky but essential at this stage but the date is set and the invites are going to be printed and posted this week ..... Please let me know if you would like to visit this show 'Losing the Thread' at Quarry Bank Mill in the beautiful village of Styal and I will add you to my mailing list.

I am seriously considering investing in an industrial machine after all these years to help me speed along with more vigour and less vibration.  Although I am more nervous about my fingers as its more like drawing with a needle attached to a tractor.    It would mean using both feet on the pedal not just one and having a flat table bed to whizz around....... very beneficial for my working posture which after 18 years of stitchin' is yoga dependent. Stitchin' aint good for ya bod!
Its a big and heavy investment. What to do........
Will let you know how I get on!

I did learn to drive a tractor when I was 11 after all.

  1. I have been looking at industrial machines too, there are many options. I have a friend who has one and the limitation is that each machine does one stitch only usually. I do not know if you can drop the feed dogs on all of them. I have been looking at getting this one in my dreams :)

I went to a quilt show and Helen Godden was demonstrating one as she uses one and it looked so easy!! right height and just so easy to move the fabric around, And you can see all of the quilt at the same time. Just thought I would share :)
