AUCKLAND ... HELP NEEDED!

Hi!

Calling my NZ army..... in Auckland ... preferably near Sandringham ....

Is there anyone out there who could let me work in their sewing room/ studio / work space for three days from Monday to Wednesday in this city?

I have just received a commission from SELVEDGE magazine, with, in my experience, as tight a deadline as they always give.  They either they have no idea how an artist/ crafts person works (how long embroidery takes), they are so confident they are a leading publication they know you will drop everything to be featured in their magazine and shop OR possibly ... the team really know how to get the best creativity from an artist by giving them the tightest deadline they can muster.

I need a sewing machine, use of some threads and some space.

If anyone can help me I would love to hear from you and of course it goes without saying that I will return this favour with one of my own.

Louiji Pleasey Weasey.

  1. I hope that you hear from someone soon, I'm sure that there are some wonderful people out there that would love to have you visit for a couple of days. I know that I would, but hey, I'm here in the UK and of absolutly no use to you at all...

  2. Louise, if you ring someone from the Auckland Embroiderer's Guild they might be able to put you on to someone living up there. The problem relying on the blog is not knowing if anyone from Auckland is reading it ...

    Good luck
