Figurative Fun with FASHION - 3 Day SUPERSTITCHERS Workshop.
10th, 11th, 12th, October 2011 - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday.

This is a 3 day workshop starting with paper and pens, music and lots of gorgeous things to draw. Using the sewing machines to create lively caricatures and figurative drawings in stitch we will create stitched illustrations which can then be embellished with paint, inks and embroidery. A three day SUPERSTITCHER workshop for all levels but especially good for students who want to concentrate on drawing for fashion or the figure. Sewing machines with Free machine Embroidery Feet are needed.
3 Day SuperStitchers CHRISTMAS Special PICTURE Workshop.
16th, 17th, 18th November - Wednesday, Thursday, Friday.

This workshop concentrates on drawing with collage with a CHRISTMAS theme to create a wall piece especially for Christmas decoration in your home. Students are expected to bring a collection of festive images/ photocopies and designs from magazines, old cards that they like.
These collected images could be a mixture of landscape, figurative or still life. We will spend the first day creating a collage design which will be the basis for your embroidered canvas picture. For the rest of the workshop we will be using paint, free machine embroidery and then anything sparkly, to embellish the Christmas designs creating a one-off and individual piece of art which can then be framed and exhibited once a year in your own home or given as a unique gift for Christmas.
Sewing machines with Free machine Embroidery Feet are needed. People who 'CAN'T DRAW' are WELCOME!!!!

Creating a Sketch book cover in embroidered felt. A three day workshop concentrating on drawing with the sewing machine to create a lively and textural book cover for an A3 sized sketch book in felt. This would be an ideal workshop for those wanting to create a unique gift or to cover books of your own in a creative and original way. We will be drawing with the machines creating lettering and fun imagery for the covers, then using applique and free machining to embellish your book covers. You will need to bring a new A3 sketch book to work with. Sewing machines with Free machine Embroidery Feet are needed.
